Madrid, July 16, 2025 – SILICIUS Real Estate, a SOCIMI (Spanish REIT) specializing in the long-term management of properties with stable rental incomes, has renewed its sponsorship of four rugby clubs in the Madrid and Castilla y León regions: Club de Rugby Complutense Cisneros, Club de Rugby Majadahonda, Alcobendas Rugby and Palencia Rugby Club. With this renewal, the company reaffirms its commitment to the sport for the fourth year running.
This initiative, included in the company’s 2024 Sustainability Report, is part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategic plan, which promotes actions with a positive social impact by leveraging sport as a catalyst for inclusion, collective effort and social transformation.
Over the past fiscal year, SILICIUS has continued to support grassroots and inclusive rugby projects, with particular emphasis on women’s rugby—an area that embodies core values such as dedication, teamwork and equal opportunity. Notably, the company backs the women’s squad of Club de Rugby Majadahonda, whose achievements have earned national recognition.
Through this support, SILICIUS has helped provide resources, equipment and visibility for women’s competitions, contributing to the establishment of positive role models for younger generations and encouraging greater female participation in a sport historically dominated by men.
Simultaneously, SILICIUS has reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive rugby through initiatives such as the Mixed Ability Rugby tournament organized by Alcobendas Rugby. Held with the company’s annual sponsorship, this tournament brought together players of all abilities in a fully integrated environment—demonstrating that sport is also a powerful tool to break down barriers, promote diversity and build community.
SILICIUS views sport as a vehicle for transferring the values that define its corporate culture into both social and business contexts. In this vein, one of the year’s most emblematic initiatives was the team-building day organized in collaboration with Club de Rugby Alcobendas, which combined sport-based exercises designed to foster collaboration, group dynamics focused on communication and leadership, and a talk on physical and mental wellbeing.
With this renewal, SILICIUS reaffirms its commitment to the wellbeing of individuals, both within and beyond the workplace, and to generating a positive impact in the communities where it operates. By continuing to support these rugby clubs, the company champions sport as a driver of social development, inclusion, cohesion and sustainability.
