As the government eases its restrictions on retail sites in cities such as Cádiz, Reus and Murcia, SILICIUS reopens the shopping centres that it manages after fulfilling the Covid-19 secure guide requirements to protect shoppers, workers and mall´s tenants.

Shopping centres monitor occupancy on commercial premises and common areas. Access control systems have been installed in every entrance. Entrance and exit points have been separated, floor markings and signage reminders of social distance and precautions have been set up. Signs reminding the rules have been posted and a special protocol for Covid-19 detection has been developed.

Some of the measures carried out include frequent cleaning and disinfecting of regularly used objects and hard surfaces, installing protective screens and placing hydroalcoholic dispensers as well as special bins to recycle plastic gloves and masks. Also, the maintenance of the facilities includes purifying the air with sterilizing equipment of UVA as well as close control of the ventilation and air conditioning system.

These shopping centres have been partially opened during the lockdown as some of its operators are classed as essential. The rest of the operators will open in a few days as they are getting prepared to ensure the safety of customers and employees.

La Fira Shopping Centre in Reus (Tarragona), Thader Shopping Centre in Murcia and a Retail park in Nassica business park in Getafe (Madrid) were assets incorporated to SILICIUS´portfolio in February after a deal with MERLIN Properties which acquired the 34% of the socimi.
