Madrid, March 10, 2022. SILICIUS Real Estate, a SOCIMI (Spanish REIT) specialized in the management of long-term properties with stable income, has closed the renewal of its collaboration agreement with four rugby clubs located in the Community of Madrid and Castilla y León, maintaining its support for the growth of this sport and the varied training offer of these clubs within their lower categories.
Specifically, the renewal of this collaboration agreement has been carried out with three teams from the Community of Madrid (Club de Rugby Complutense Cisneros, Club de Rugby Majadahonda and Alcobendas Rugby), and with one from Castilla y León (Palencia Rugby), in which SILICIUS maintains its presence as the main sponsor.
The signing of this new contract is part of SILICIUS’ commitment to support sport and, more specifically, values such as teamwork, perseverance or respect, which characterize rugby and which the SOCIMI integrates into each of its business activities.
Under this new contract, the entity will continue supporting the various activities that these four rugby clubs carry out both on and off the field through their schools and youth categories.
During the season, for example, the SOCIMI has collaborated closely with the Majadahonda Rugby Club in different solidarity actions such as the collection of toys for the solidarity market of Aventura 2000 or the collection of medicines for Cuba.
The renewal of these sponsorship contracts comes in a year in which MAZABI, multifamily Real Estate office in which SILICIUS is integrated, has reached an agreement with the Independiente Rugby Club de Santander to become the main sponsor for the next two seasons. This milestone has meant that the club has been officially renamed as MAZABI SANTANDER.
As a precedent, SILICIUS has also been incorporating support actions to other sports such as sailing. In 2019, the company supported Daniel de la Pedraja and Iker Martínez’s boat, the M&G Tressis Silicius GC32, during their participation in the Copa del Rey.
