Madrid, June 30, 2022. SILICIUS Real Estate, a SOCIMI specialized in the management of longterm properties with stable rents, has signed an agreement with UMusic Hotels to open a UMusic Hotel in Madrid. As part of the agreement, UMusic Hotels, an emerging global collective of music-based experiential hotel properties will manage SILICIUS’s Albéniz asset in Madrid. The complex consists of a five-star hotel, a theatre and lounge, and will mark UMusic Hotel’s first property in Europe.
The complex, declared a historical landmark by the Community of Madrid, is located in the old Hotel Madrid and Teatro Albéniz and keeps its original name. Among other features, the complex includes a 5- star hotel with 130 rooms, a theatre with an occupancy of up to 898 seats and an additional entertainment lounge that can host concerts, shows and corporate events. The opening of the hotel and the theatre are scheduled for the end of 2022.
The hotel has undergone a comprehensive renovation to transform it into a 5-star establishment, while remodelling of the lounge and the theatre will take lace in the coming months.

This operation is part of SILICIUS’s strategy of buying and managing assets that generate stable long-term income for its investors, for this purpose reaching alliances with the best operators in the market.
Albéniz is the first project that UMusic Hotels has announced in Spain. The company has also announced plans for similar projects in other countries. The company plans to continue strengthening its international presence with new projects in the United States, Latin America, Brazil, Europe, and the Middle East.
